Whilst last year's Worms Forts: Under Siege was a disappointment the game that preceded it, Worms 3D, was not. Making the transition from the side-on 2D perspective to a true 3D environment was a difficult task but whilst some elements of the game were lost (such as the completely destructible terrain) most of the magical yet simple game play was retained. You'll have many hilarious missions such as the World War II style mission on Wormaha Beach. You can create you own teams and battle it out on random maps. The PC version also allows you to play online which is something none of the console versions allowed you to do.

When we originally reviewed the game it was for the Xbox and the Controller S did a good job of making the controls feel comfortable. On the PC though the default controls are the keyboard and mouse combination and I don't think this is as comfortable especially when it comes to controlling the camera. Graphically of course the game looks a little shaper than the Xbox version due to playing the game at a higher screen resolution.

Worms 3D is fine for deaf gamers with all the tutorials and campaign objectives being shown in text that allows you to read at your own pace, as you need to press the appropriate key to continue. The worms' speech is not subtitled though, which doesn't harm the game play but you'll be unaware of there humorous quips. The game also includes the famed Wormopaedia, which tells you about every item and concept within the game. If you are a fan of the series and for some reason didn't purchase the game the first time round then here's you chance to pick up the last great game in the series.

We liked Worms 3D when we first saw it on the Xbox and on the PC it's still a great game. You also have the extra option of playing online.
